Time to Kick My Own Arse

*Edit: Fixed up the sides and made the dates typed.

This is my Final Product to my contest entry to 'Kick your own @ss'

Now the differences:

1) Easiest to see is the Background - Of course it isn't all that nice, but I can actually DO backgrounds now (I didn't use much of a tutorial since none of them were too useful, but I did kind of get more of an idea as to what I was trying to do from some of them - THANK YOU!)

2) Shading - I'm no good at it yet (especially the hairrr) but you know what, I think it's already better then no shading at all! And it definitely adds depth to the picture, obviously something I didn't do when I was younger (to think, just a year ago!)

3) Anatomy - Big thanks to for helping me at one point, but otherwise the anatomy I have has definitely improved! And I mean, it doesn't look perfect, but I'm certainly closer to that then before!

4) THE EYES - I mean, you can probably count that as shading or something, BUT YOU CAN SEE SOMETHING IN THE EYES! I just thought this please me the most, since the eyes were one of the few things I liked.

5) Hands - Scared to draw them when I was young, really enjoy drawing them now.

6) Animals - I draw other things than just mermaids/people now-a-days, I draw sea life and rocks!

7) Use of Tools - Tying into Background, I learned how to use gradient tool now! Also learnt what the word Layers meant and how to copy and past/reverse stuff. I learned the pen tool and the laso tool, blue and smudge! I learnt so much ='D!

There jsut seems to be such a big improvement in JUST ONE YEAR that I think I could go on about it, so I'll stop there and let you all decide for yourselves as to how much I've improved. I practically killed myself (and my computer - I actually punched it really hard when GIMP crashed and everything pretty much slowed to nothing, and I saw a flicker somewhere when I punched it..I'M SORRY COMPUTER, I SWEAR I'LL NEVER PUNCH THAT HARD AGAIN T_T!!!)
